(More customer reviews)If you need a lot of lumbar support, this will work out great for you. It is a little too much for me (5 feet tall) which is why I am only giving it 4 stars. I feel half of it would have been just right. Also, the strap that attaches to the chair or waist is okay, but I would have preferred a metal clasp rather than the plastic. I don't feel the teeth hold onto the strap well enough for a good, solid grip.

May be this one looks a little better if you want to pay extra $30 for the visual appeal. I also have no idea how they took the picture, because in reality - it is flat, even when I look at it after sitting for 2 hours. Shipping was fast.

I also like that I can blow it up more or less depending on the seat I am sitting in. I also use it at my computer chair at home. I think the dimensions need to be stated. I thought it was going to be half the size than it is. So I will state the dimensions....15-1/4" in length at center and 6-1/4" in width at center.

In fact, I never would have considered buying it if a friend hadn't allowed me to use hers. It immediately helped. For me, it has the perfect blend of support and flexibility to allow you to work or drive for long periods comfortably. I think the key is that it is flexible and allows your spine to move naturally while still giving you good lumbar support. It easily attaches to my office chair and works in my Mustang drivers seat as well. I was skeptical at first because I have not had good experiences with other, similar products (pillows/cushions), but I am pleasantly surprised by this one. Finally, it is inexpensive and seems to be wearing well (have had over 1 month now) on top of everything else.

(More customer reviews)I'm almost 50yo with lower back pain. The pain is caused by slight misalignment, compression, and pinched nerves (standard lower back pain). Care must be exercised to place the spinal column in the correct position. If you get the spine aligned properly, you then must find a way to force your muscles to relax and allow the device to do it's job. This is uncomfortable at first so that makes it harder to relax the muscles. Once the muscles finally relaxed, I could feel the spine realigning and it felt good. I rated 4 stars primarily dues to the difficulty in centering the spine on it although, in all fairness, I don't know how they could have designed it differently. Bottom line: If the dog ate it, I'd buy another.

(More customer reviews)I recently purchased this lumbar support cushion as a gift for my father this past Christmas. I am a physical therapist, and have over 5 years of experience dealing primarily with the mechanics and mechanisms of low back pain and disc dysfunction. I have tried out many cushions over the years, and from my experience, this product is as good as any higher-priced product of the same intent. The composite board insert allows for a consistent shape to be maintained, so the cushion does not yield as easily to body weight over years of consistent use, and the burgundy cover is removable and washable. It is also an excellent size for the average-sized person (my dad is approximately 5'9", ~170 lbs.). It provides good side-bolster support as well for an added feeling of comfort around the outiside of the lower back. I highly recommend this cushion when placed in comparison of other similar products. Most of the other products out there that are in contention with this one are composed of unnecessary additives, like a massager, ribbing on the contours of the cushion, etc. I've found that simply maintaining good posture (not only in sitting, but all activity) allows for so much more freedom from pain and simple ease back into daily life. Again, I highly recommend this product to anyone out there searching for an answer to help alleviate low back pain; however, I must caution that commercial products are NOT a cure-all to one's problems. It's always possible to alleviate the pain and symptoms, but other steps are necessary in terms of FIXING the problem. I highly recommend seeking out professional care from a physical therapist, as it is more than likely necessary that one would need (at least) proper education and intevention to help one to get better.

(More customer reviews)I'm perplexed by all of the positive reviews for this product. The sides of the support make it look like it would provide plenty of support. But in fact the mesh that your back leans against does not come out as far as the sides would indicate. Right where your back would touch this support is where it provides the least support, if that makes sense. It's just a meash streched out over the frame. Anyway, this did not hold my low back in a "lordosis" or properly curved position. Right now I'm using a small pillow and waiting for my McKenzie lumbar support pillow to arrive.

I've shortened the elastic...but the nature of elastic is to stretch...so it slides as soon as I move. The re-adjustment takes continuous attention. The support is phenomenal and my back pain is negligible using this product.
