I bought the Thermarest Women's Trail Pro Sleeping Pad to use on a tent camping trip. Since my trip was in June, I was unconcerned with the pad's ability to keep me warm, so I cannot comment on that particular feature. However, I was extremely happy with the cushioning the pad provided. Previously, I had slept in the tent with only a sleeping bag and in the morning my back and hips would be killing me. Upon sitting on the pad for the first time I could immediately tell that I would be much more comfortable, and I was not disappointed. The pad does self inflate somewhat, but in the interest of time, I used my mouth to blow it up to a more firm level of padding. Packing up the pad was also very easy, you just open the valve and roll it up. Packed up, it's about the size of a roll of paper towels.
I did deduct one star for the fact that it seemed a little narrow for my taste. I am 5'7 and about 145 lbs. I did shift off of the pad a little bit occasionally. In retrospect I think I would have preferred the men's version of the pad for the extra space, so if a person is active in their sleep, they may want to take that into consideration.
All in all, I was very pleased with the purchase and will recommend the pad to others. I don't doubt I would have had a fantastic night's sleep if it hadn't been for a weekend full of thunderstorms!
