I mean, you will definitely be aware of yourself slouching when wearing it because the straps around the shoulder will start to cut into your underarm causing you to sit up straight to avoid the nagging pull. And I guess that's what its designed to do. However, I was looking for something that would push into my lower back and pull my shoulders back like a back brace or something. So the three stars is because I didn't choose the right product not the product itself. If your upper back is fairly straight and you don't slouch too much and are just looking for something to hold your posture because you find yourself sitting a lot, then this would be great for you.
