(More customer reviews)I used the Blue tape to wrap around the handle of my Felco pruners and it looks & works great!
UPDATE: I had to use Mighty Fix it on a sort of temporary emergency repair in the garden after accidentally puncturing the irrigation line (black poly pipe) in several spots. I bought new pipe within a few days and replaced all the sections I punctured except for 1~ as an experiment to see how long it holds up. It has been several weeks already! Even though the package says not recommended for that sort of repair~ I'm impressed! Good to keep around just in case!

Another option is to get foam grips but they are thicker and would not normally have a wrap on them. With this, it is a thin enough foam that you can wrap it and it has a good ergo shape. It is not so soft that it squishes down to nothing. It has a bit of firmness just like you want.
