If you ever had cervical spine damage, sleep apnea, or other troubles in the area of the neck... consider this pillow first. I have used this pillow since 1983 and wouldn't sleep or travel without one. It is also valuable to support lumbar spine for those with low back pain. I use one of these in my computer chair to support my lumbosacral spine.
The pillow washes and dries well. There are standard "Jackson Pillow" covers available also. I find that they wear out and lose their supportive value in about 10 years. (I recycle the older pillows for lower back chair-supports).
This is a MUST for those that have had cervical neck surgeries or for loud snorers.
