I have used eye pillows for years and always bought silk for its cooling effects but I was fascinated with the idea of organic cotton. so I bought one of the pink ones from Jane Inc. I must say I really like it. It won't replace the silk but but it offers a wonderful alternative. Now I have two kinds of eye pillows to choose from depending on how I feel. I also have bought the Jane Inc. silk eye pillows. They do make the best eye pillows. I use the cotton one when I want to feel more grounded. It seems to really connect me to the earth during savasana. I use the silk when I am overtired and need to soar.
One thing I love about the Jane Inc. eye pillows is that they are zippered so that they can be emptied and washed. Even though I don't wear make up - just your natural facial oils get to an eye pillow in time. So washing it really makes it last years longer.
