(More customer reviews)I have had tendonitis since 2004, and my occupational therapist recommended the Pil-O-Splints. Before purchasing this product I used splints of the drugstore variety, but they didn't immobilize the whole hand like the Pil-O-Splint does (instead, they only immobilized the wrists); because of this, when using drugstore splints my hands would clench into fists during the night.
I found these splints to be an enormous relief after the very first night. Not only were they effective and extremely comfortable, but their well-designed fit didn't leave me with uncomfortable pressure marks like my old, drugstore splints did. (I've found that the cheaper splints are easy to over-tighten in an effort to get a good fit. This causes pressure marks, numbness in the middle of the night, etc....).
I was hesitant at first to buy them because of the price, but I'm very glad I did. They're easily machine washed, too (a real plus--splints can get nasty if used regularly!). Highly recommended, especially the adjustable splints. The adjustable still slips on and off like the regular does, but has a velcro wrap that can be tightened for a better fit.
EDIT (1 Dec. 2009): After four years of continuous use, I'm still completely satisfied with the product (and still on my very first pair, at that).
